Grand Canyon

The morning began with a very early start of awaking at 5:45 am.

Once we had all dragged ourselves on to the bus, we set off for the 5-hour road trip to the Grand Canyon. Two hours into the journey, we stopped off at a truck stop to stock up on chocolate and snacks for the remainder of the journey.

Many hours and many long, boring straight roads later we made it to the Grand Canyon. We were all amazed by the spectacular  views and the scale of the canyon.

After a look around and a quick look around the gift shop we all get back on the bus for the long journey back to Vegas, stopping at the same truck stop for a buffet meal.

After the long day we all couldn't wait to get to bed!

Our first night in Vegas

In the evening after our long journey to Vegas, we were treated to a video show.  We were taken to a street which had a curved roof and this roof then became a large screen where they played songs by Bon Jovi.  The amazing show lit up the entire street with hundreds of people singing along!

Viva Las Vegas

"VIVA LAS VEGAS!" was what our tour guide Michael shouted as we set off.

We've finally made it to Vegas!

After a long coach journey through mountains and deserts with a stop off at an outlet for lunch, we made it to our hotel at 4:30pm. Whilst the sun was still shining a lot of people spent that time by the hotel pool.

The journey took us through some spectacular scenery and even passing a roller coaster in the middle of a desert.

After a few hours of rest and sunbathing we will be off for a "surprise" evening in Vegas.

Day 5

The busy day started off with a tour around LA and Hollywood by coach, with a few places to stop off and walk around.

We stopped off at Walt Disneys concert hall, which the building had spectacular architecture, then "Mini Mexico" with a small Mexican market, the last stop was to the Star Walk where we saw the Hollywood sign and the stars on the floor. The coach journey also took us around Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive and all over LA.

The afternoon we visisted an outlet shopping place near the hotel, where in the few hours we had.... A lot of money was well spent in the outlets.

Tonight we are off to Bubba Gumps restaurant.

Day 4

After a 20-minute walk, we reached Disneyland in which everyone had fun going on all sorts of rides and seeing all attractions.

Although the rides and attractions were all amazing, the main highlights would have to be the parades that went on throughout the day and the amazing firework display at the very end before we left. 

Thankfully, the coach took us back so that we didn't have to walk as we were all shattered.

Day 3

Dragging ourselves out of bed at 6am was pretty tough this morning, but I was definitely for a good reason as we were off to Warner Bros!

We spent the morning having a VIP tour around the sets, including Big Bang Theory and Pretty Little Liars, we even got to sit in the famous sofa from the central perk coffee shop in Friends and try on the sorting hat from Harry Potter in which we were sorted into our houses.

After the busy morning we set off for Santa Monica beach. 

The clear blue skies meant we all got a lot of sunbathing done!

The busy day ended with bowling and pizza. 

Sunday 24 March

We’ve made it!

After a 4am start in heavy snow and a 2 hour flight delay, we’ve finally made it to LA!  Once on the coach there was grumpiness in the air, but as soon as we passed the LAX sign there was a loud cheer which woke everyone up!

Arriving at the hotel at 8pm (1am UK time), the pizzas were delivered and we were off to bed.

After a typical American breakfast we were off to Universal Studios and, after a fun-packed day, there was time for a quick shopping spree before the short drive to the hotel.  We then fell into bed – shattered but excited about Warner Bros the next day.
